We are very happy to announce the introduction of our new SEN friendly sessions here at Balance & Beam
Each session will focus on creating a calm, predictable and sensory-friendly environment for children and most importantly offer an opportunity for these amazing little people to experience our wonderful gym
Our sessions will help support children with skill development such as promoting crucial physical, cognitive, communication, and social skills through targeting activities like sensory play and adaptive activities
These sessions will be suitable for children aged 3 to 10 years with Special Educational Needs and are open to both members & non-members
Siblings are welcome to attend
What our sessions entail
- A bright and colourful gym which is a fabulous environment for all children
- An ideal opportunity to explore the gym and try out all the equipment
- Free play around the gym
- Use of a large selection of sensory equipment for activities - balls, scarves, bubbles, parachutes
- Optional structured warm up and group activities for those children wanting to join in
- Music kept low
- Quiet break out area in our party room if needed
- An environment giving children options to build confidence
- Limited number of attendees so that children don't feel overwhelmed
- Expert, caring & nurturing staff on hand to facilitate the sessions
Free parking is available on Waterworld car park for those attending car registration input in our tablet is required
Easy access to facilities: Buggy/wheelchair friendly, all on one level

Our weekly sessions will be held on Tuesdays at 1.30pm - 2.30pm with the first weekly session starting on Tuesday, 24th February 2026
Our monthly session will be held on a Sunday at 4.15pm - 5.30pm - dates to be confirmed shortly
