Is gymnastics good for a 2 year old?
Absolutely! At this young age, your child is experiencing rapid social, physical, intellectual, cultural, emotional and spiritual development (SPICES). Gymnastics is a powerful tool for encouraging positive early childhood development, in a fun, social and educational environment. Find out more in our blog.
What is the best age to start gymnastics?
The earlier your little one starts gymnastics, the better the foundation for lifelong skills. It gets them used to daily routine, supports their positive development and ensures the healthiest, happiest and most rewarding start during their critical formative years.
Is toddler gymnastics safe?
Safety is at the heart of everything we do. Our purpose-built gym is designed for young children to learn and explore in a safe environment, with soft equipment and qualified, friendly coaches who know how to support every move.
What happens in a toddler gymnastics class?
Our gymnastics classes for toddlers are filled with music, movement and constructive games to nurture strength, awareness and curiosity for life. From exploring movement through fun rolls and rotations, to beam balancing and coordinated movements, our Parent & Child classes take your little one on a fun-filled physical journey.
What should my child wear to a gymnastics class?
Simple and comfy is key. We recommend leggings, joggers or shorts with a well-fitting top. And we ask all children to leave their shoes at the door – bare feet are best for grip and safety.
Will my toddler learn social skills in gymnastics?
A huge YES! Our gymnastics classes for toddlers are built around interaction between children, parents and coaches. Your toddler will learn to take turns, follow instructions and build confidence through connection. It’s a fun way to support early emotional development and social skills, while offering a real-world alternative to screen time.
How do I know if my toddler is ready for gymnastics?
All children are different – but if your little one is walking, climbing or bouncing on the sofa, they’re ready to give it a go. Nervous? That’s completely normal! Our small class sizes provide an encouraging space to build confidence. Book a free trial session at one of our Parent & Child classes to try it out for yourself.
What is the youngest age a child can start gymnastics?

Do I need to stay with my toddler during the class?
Yes please! For our Baby Bugs, Ladybirds and Caterpillars classes we want you involved. These interactive sessions are all about shared experiences, offering encouragement and strengthening your parent-child bond.
How do I prepare my toddler for their first class?
Chat about the class in a positive way, arrive a few minutes early and bring a little treat for after. Our team is here to make that first class feel comfortable for everyone and show your little one that it’s about having fun.
